In 2016, Cookie Johnson recounted how, after Magic's HIV diagnosis: "He said, 'If you want to leave, you know, I don't blame you. It's OK. I understand.' Then I said, 'Are you kidding me? No. I love you. I'm gonna stay here and help you live. I'm gonna stay here and we're gonna beat this thing. We're gonna figure out how to beat this thing.'"

Mila Kunis (8/14/1983, Leo Pig), Ashton Kutcher (2/7/1978, Aquarius Horse) : The two actors married more than 15 years after they first co-starred together on That 70s Show. They have two children together. Kunis has described, "I think we're silly at home. We're very goofy parents when it comes to our children. But ... none of that's skill, I think that's just being idiots. Like, I think we're very comfortable with ourselves acting a fool at home."

Toni Morrison (2/18/1931, Aquarius Sheep), James Baldwin (8/2/1924, Leo Rat) : The two celebrated authors were close friends. In a eulogy at Baldwin's funeral, Morrison said: "You knew, didn’t you, how I needed your language and the mind that formed it? How I relied on your fierce courage to tame wildernesses for me? How strengthened I was by the certainty that came from knowing you would never hurt me? You knew, didn’t you, how I loved your love? You knew."

Neil Armstrong (8/5/1930, Leo Horse), Buzz Aldrin (1/20/1930, Aquarius Snake) : The two astronauts have been closely associated as colleagues since they became the first humans to walk on the moon in July, 1969. In a statement after Armstrong died in 2012, Aldrin wrote: "I am deeply saddened by the passing of my good friend, and space exploration companion, Neil Armstrong today…Whenever I look at the moon I am reminded of that precious moment, over four decades ago, when Neil and I stood on the desolate, barren, yet beautiful, Sea of Tranquility, looking back at our brilliant blue planet Earth suspended in the darkness of space…I know I am joined by many millions of others from around the world in mourning the passing of a true American hero and the best pilot I ever knew. My friend Neil took the small step but giant leap that changed the world and will forever be remembered as a historic moment in human history…I will miss my friend Neil as I know our fellow citizens and people around world will miss this foremost aviation and space pioneer."

Carlos Vives (8/7/1961, Leo Ox), Shakira (2/2/1977, Aquarius Dragon) : The two Colombian singer/songwriters share a close friendship, and collaborated on the Latin Grammy-winning song, "La Bicicleta" (2016). In a 2023 tribute video, Shakira said: "Carlos, you are the poet who writes verses with my land. An extraordinary musician, and even more extraordinary is your faithful friend’s heart...Artists like you appear every thousand years. That’s why today we want to pay tribute to you. What you have done for our Colombia, neither politicians nor philanthropists [have] achieved. Thank you for rescuing our folklore and reminding us of what we were, what we are, and what we can be. You have brought a piece of us in every song from children, the elderly, and those who didn’t know our customs or spoke our language. And you have reminded us of how much we are worth, what we feel, and how strongly we can love. Your legacy is invaluable because it represents us all. Keep building it for us and fly high like a condor over the mountains! I love you, friend. We all love you!"

Emmanuelle Béart (8/14/1963, Leo Rabbit), Daniel Auteuil (1/24/1950, Aquarius Ox) : The two French acting legends were together for 11 years and have a daughter together. They have remained on excellent terms. Speaking of the relationship later, Auteuil described how Béart expanded his horizons beyond the dramatic arts, while she has said, "I lived eleven years with a man and I never got tired of it."

Heidi Klum (6/1/1973, Gemini Ox), Seal (2/19/1963, Pisces Rabbit) : The model and musician were married from 2005 to 2012, and had three children together. Shortly after they began their relationship, Klum told Seal she was pregnant to her previous boyfriend. Seal described in 2008: "There was a pause of about 10 seconds and I said, 'It doesn't change the way I feel about you because the fact that you are here tells me that you think a lot about me.' People have said I was such a good person, so courageous. I honestly don't see it like that. I was the lucky one." After their break-up, Klum referred to them renewing their vows each year they were married, saying: "I think I got married eight times to Seal. I thought it would be kind of, like, fun. I thought it would be a fest of love. But you know, that doesn't work either. I tried, you can't say I didn't try!"

Stephen Eckelberry (12/8/1961, Sagittarius Ox), Karen Black (7/1/1939, Cancer Rabbit) : The actor/singer/songwriter and director/editor were together from 1983 until Black's death in 2013. They married in 1987 and adopted a daughter. Describing Black's posthumous song anthology, Dreaming of You (1971–1976), Eckelberry said: "When she acted, she was a consummate character actor. She was almost so good as a character actor that it harmed her ability to be a movie star because she was so totally enveloped in the role. So here, you have an opportunity to see the real Karen. The creativity that comes straight from her. It’s not the dialogue of some screenwriter, no matter how good they may be; it’s her own. And that is the greatest thing that comes out of this for me."

Jane Fonda (12/21/1937, Sagittarius Ox), Lily Tomlin (9/1/1939, Virgo Rabbit) : The two actors have been close friends since they starred together in the movie, 9 to 5 (1980). Recently, they co-starred as the leads in the TV show Grace and Frankie (2015-2022). Fonda has described about their relationship: "Male friendships are facing outward, side-by-side, looking out, ‘Oh, look at her boobs,’ ‘God, what a great car.’ Women friendships are face-to-face, and it’s like, ‘Can you help me? I’m really lost,’ and you’ll take me into your arms. We’re not afraid to ask for help, we’re not afraid to express vulnerability [and] we just drill down to soul-level very fast." Tomlin said in 2023: "[Fonda's] always been the ‘take a leap of faith’ girl to me. I just loved her innocence and her need to make everybody OK with it, and do the right thing. And thank God I did do the movie [9 to 5]. It was a blessing."

Louis Armstrong (8/4/1901, Leo Ox), Bing Crosby (5/3/1903, Taurus Rabbit) : The jazz musician/actor and singer/actor shared a friendly relationship as two of the biggest stars in the early twentieth century. Crosby reportedly lobbied for Armstrong to receive prominent billing when they co-starred in the film, Pennies from Heaven (1936), a first for a Black actor in a mainstream movie. They later recorded the album Bing and Satchmo (1960). Although Armstrong famously said, "I’ve never been invited to the home of a movie star – not even Bing’s," Crosby wrote affectionately in the months before Armstrong's death in 1971: "I’m saddened to hear that you have been stricken again, Pops….I think of you often, and I will always recall, with pleasure, the times when we get together for an appearance, or a visit. They’re too infrequent, it seems to me, and when you get back to work, we’ll have to change all this."

Jack Nicholson (4/22/1937, Taurus Ox), Anjelica Huston (7/8/1951, Cancer Rabbit) : The two legendary actors were together for seventeen years until 1990. They co-starred in Prizzi's Honor (1985), for which Huston won an Academy Award. Nicholson continued to see other women during their relationship, and Huston wrote in her memoir, Watch Me (2014): "Occasionally, I’d find a piece of female apparel...or a trinket might get left behind in the soap dish. Sometimes I’d take to wearing the jewelry to see if anybody would come up and claim it, but that never happened." She also described: "There was a profound and devoted sense of loyalty with Jack. If he invested in you, or if he placed his heart with you, it meant something for life. Jack had a very healthy awareness and a self-approbation that you could enjoy with him. He saw the lunacy in situations and was generally at the center of it." In 1980, Nicholson said , "I certainly would say [Huston]’s the love of my life."

Daphna Kastner (4/17/1961, Aries Ox), Harvey Keitel (5/13/1939, Taurus Rabbit) : The two actors married secretly in 2001 and have a son together. Keitel has described how they first met at a party in the 1980s, but after two dinners Kastner turned him down. Seventeen years afterwards, they met again at a party and stayed together: "Seven weeks later, I was going to a film festival in Italy and I asked her to come with me. She said, 'Yes,’ and on the flight, I said, ‘What do you think about getting married?’ She gave a great answer: she said, ‘OK.'"

Gene Simmons (8/25/1949, Virgo Ox), Paul Stanley (1/20/1952, Aquarius Rabbit) : The two musicians and founding members of the band Kiss have been collaborators for over 50 years. Stanley described in 2021: "[W]e're very different, but we certainly share a pride in what we do, a work ethic...Even when things have been tough...we always were family...I'm very, very lucky to have him. And I don't necessarily agree with everything he does. But does anybody?" Simmons said in 2017: "[T]ime is the ultimate judge, and the fact that [Stanley and I have] been together, at this point for over 40 years says volumes. There have been times where I’ve been very angry and resentful — and I’m not saying momentarily — I’m saying for long periods of time. But, in time, everything falls in place and you get a better perspective — hopefully. If you don’t expect from someone what’s not possible, then you won’t be disappointed."
