Harper Lee (4/28/1926, Taurus Horse), Truman Capote (9/30/1924, Libra Rat) : The celebrated authors were childhood friends and strongly influenced each other's work. Experts consider that, fulfilling a promise to each other, the character Dill in Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird is based on Capote, and the character Idabel in Capote's Other Voices, Other Rooms is based on Lee. Lee also carried out research for Capote's true-crime masterpiece, In Cold Blood, although it is thought that Lee was unhappy with Capote's scant acknowledgment of her work, which may have contributed to distance between them later in life.

Richard Donner (4/24/1930, Taurus Horse), Christopher Reeve (9/25/1952, Libra Dragon) : The director Donner memorably cast the then-unknown actor Reeves in 1978's smash-hit film Superman. Donner described: "I was brought up on Superman as a kid...When [Reeves] told his father, who was a professor at Princeton, that he was doing Superman, his father said, 'Man and Superman?' [George Bernard Shaw’s play]. That’s the world Chris came from. He came over, we did this test in costume...He was just wonderful as Clark Kent and as Superman. He really got the idea of a terribly pained individual living a dual life."

Audrey Hepburn (5/4/1929, Taurus Snake), Julie Andrews (10/1/1935, Libra Pig) : The two famous actors began their relationship embroiled in controversy. Andrews had starred in the Broadway production of My Fair Lady but was overlooked for the film role in favour of Hepburn (whose voice was overdubbed by Marni Nixon for the singing parts). At the 1965 Academy Awards, they became friends. Andrews later described: "[Hepburn said] Julie, you should have done it, but I didn't have the guts to turn it down. We were friends from then on. I don't think there was a soul who didn't love her...And my husband [Blake Edwards, who directed Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's] adored her too. I think I can honestly say if I hadn't come into his life, she might have."

Debra Winger (5/16/1955, Taurus Sheep), Arliss Howard (10/18/1954, Libra Horse) : The two actors have been married since 1996. They have one child together and each has a child from a previous relationship. Winger has described: "Nothing escapes change. So why do we think we could create such a permanent institution as marriage? It just seems inorganic if looked at that way. Burt Bacharach (5/12/1928, Taurus Dragon), Angie Dickinson (9/30/1931, Libra Sheep) : The two high-profile celebrities, actor and composer, were married from 1965 until 1980. They had one child together. Bacharach's 2013 autobiography, Anyone Who Had a Heart—which included lengthy passages written by Dickinson—described: "[T]o get the kind of adulation from a woman like [Angie] was really something. There was an intense physical attraction between us but I was also really in love with Angie. At the time, I think I was too insecure to believe that this gorgeous movie star could fall in love with me."

Ben Carson (9/18/1951, Virgo Rabbit), Candy Carson (8/19/1953, Leo Snake) : The author and politician/former neurosurgeon have been married since 1975 and have three children together. In her memoir, A Doctor in the House: My Life with Ben Carson (2016), Candy Carson described: "The life of a neurosurgeon isn’t an easy one...The life of a neurosurgeon’s wife isn’t much easier. But it’s all been worth it."

Keely Shaye Smith (9/25/1963, Libra Rabbit), Pierce Brosnan (5/16/1953, Taurus Snake) : The actor and author/journalist have been married for 25 years and have two children. Brosnan has described how the couple, "[L]isten to the sounds of each other’s voices and [sort] out the world." Asked to describe the last perfect day in their relationship, Brosnan said: "It was yesterday. I painted in my studio, then I went down and sat on the beach, read and did some drawing — and then I had lunch with Keely."

Bridget Fonda (1/27/1964, Aquarius Rabbit), Danny Elfman (5/29/1953, Gemini Snake) : The composer and actor have been married since 2003 and have one child. Shortly before her 2003 engagement to Elfman, Fonda was involved in a serious car accident. She had previously starred in multiple high-profile movies, including Single White Female (1992), Singles (1992), Jackie Brown (1997), and A Simple Plan (1998), Since their engagement, Elfman has worked prolifically as a composer—including the award-winning soundtracks for Spider-Man 2 (2005), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2006), Alice in Wonderland (2010), Frankenweenie (2012), and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), and the TV show Desperate Housewives (2004-2012)—while Fonda has withdrawn from public life to focus on their family.

Kendrick Lamar (6/17/1987, Gemini Rabbit), Dr. Dre (2/18/1965, Aquarius Snake) : The rapper/producer and rapper have shared a mentoring friendship, including working together on Dre's as-yet-unreleased album, Detox. Lamar described in 2011: "Dre and I have a personal relationship. In the first studio session, we clicked so crazy. It was more like a uncle-nephew kind of vibe. Because everybody sees Dre as just a gangsta rapper, but he shares the same story that I have, a good kid in a mad city. When we sit in the studio, we talk about these different streets that we both lived on and experiences he had that I can relate to being two generations younger. Blake Lively (8/25/1987, Virgo Rabbit), Taylor Swift (12/13/1989, Sagittarius Snake) : The music superstar and actor/director made friends in 2015. They have traded frequent affectionate social media posts and attended parties together. In 2021, Lively directed the video for Swift's song, "I Bet You Think About Me" (Taylor's Version) (From the Vault). At the 2022 American Music Awards, Swift said in a speech accepting her "Favorite Pop Album" award: "I want to take a moment to thank someone who directed the music video 'I Bet You Think About Me,' my beautiful, brilliant friend, my director Blake Lively."

Michael Jordan (2/17/1963, Aquarius Rabbit), Scottie Pippen (9/25/1965, Leo Snake) : The two celebrated basketballers formed one of the most successful pairings in NBA history, leading the Chicago Bulls to "three-peat" championships between 1990-1993 and 1995-1998. Pippen has described the closeness of their relationship at that time, saying: "[Jordan and I] grew up together and we defended each other. That respect we had on the court, that competitiveness we took through to the top – it was special. That was the respect we had for each other, because we had to be on the court to do what we did. We had to be dominant." Following the Jordan-led documentary, The Last Dance (2020), Pippen has expressed frustration on multiple occasions. In 2020, he said: "I don’t think [The Last Dance] was that accurate in terms of really defining what was accomplished in one of the greatest eras of basketball, but also by two of the greatest players...I thought it was more about Michael trying to uplift himself and to be glorified. I think it also backfired to some degree in that people got a chance to see what kind of personality Michael had."

Frank Sinatra (12/12/1915, Sagittarius Rabbit), Dean Martin (6/7/1917, Gemini Snake) : The two legendary singer/actors were friends who formed part of the so-called "Rat Pack" in the 1960s. They toured together frequently and co-starred in films including Ocean’s 11 (1960) and Robin and the 7 Hoods (1964). Sinatra was reportedly "too overwrought" to attend Martin's funeral in 1995, but he released a statement saying, "Dean was my brother — not through blood but through choice. Good times and bad, we were there together."
