Not a headline-grabber, perhaps, but this combination of the delightfully puzzling firstwest and secondwest with the naturally harmonious firsteast and secondeast can be a true unsung hero.

Taurus and Libra
Compatibility overview
There is a mysterious, yet enchanting, quality to this match. firstwest and secondwest are classically considered astrological strangers, with little connection between them at all. But this is often quite wrong. Sure, they may seem to be moving in different orbits, but these two can in fact form a harmonious and intensely inspiring relationship.

When Western signs are five steps apart, like Libra and Taurus, they share a Quincunx (or inconjunct) aspect. This 150° angle has been judged negatively in the past. Traditional astrology thought that the two signs were misaligned, and hence totally foreign to each other.
It is true that the respective elements are not very compatible. Libra's Air may be the least polarizing element of the four, but it is essentially about excitement, and complete freedom of thought and action. Taurus' Earth, by contrast, emphasizes stability, slow movement, and patient determination. Hence these two can struggle to find a happy medium between the conceptual and the practical. Libra's tendency to think about every question from every angle may overwhelm Taurus with choices, none of which speaks to the certain and gradual progress Taurus likes best. Taurus—truly the most resolute, earthiest, of all three Earth signs—may seem to Libra to be dispiritingly unshakeable in their opinions and routines. The more Libra's excitable brainstorming strikes Taurus as superficial or procrastinating, the more Libra will feel like their most interesting ideas are doomed to bounce back off a brick wall.
The weirdly magical quality of this Quincunx energy, however, is that this tension usually does not seem too serious to either party. Instead, there is often a light-hearted atmosphere of quizzical puzzlement about the differences here, which can be surprisingly delightful. Libra's Cardinal energy means they are born initiators, always beginning things with gusto, where Taurus' Fixed modality means they instinctively focus on actualizing potential into reality. Hence collaboration, at least in a hands-off way that provides plenty of freedom, can come naturally to these contrasting personalities. Creative strategies and enterprises that harness the different instincts of Libra and Taurus are especially favoured.
A measure of distance is usually important, and problems should definitely be dealt with as and when they arise. Leaving upsets unresolved can be especially destabilizing for Quincunx pairings. However, in the right circumstances, these apparently strange bedfellows can form a beautiful relationship, as pleasurable as it is encouraging and rewarding.

Harper Lee (4/28/1926, Taurus Horse), Truman Capote (9/30/1924, Libra Rat) : The celebrated authors were childhood friends and strongly influenced each other's work. Experts consider that, fulfilling a promise to each other, the character Dill in Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird is based on Capote, and the character Idabel in Capote's Other Voices, Other Rooms is based on Lee. Lee also carried out research for Capote's true-crime masterpiece, In Cold Blood, although it is thought that Lee was unhappy with Capote's scant acknowledgment of her work, which may have contributed to distance between them later in life.
Richard Donner (4/24/1930, Taurus Horse), Christopher Reeve (9/25/1952, Libra Dragon) : The director Donner memorably cast the then-unknown actor Reeves in 1978's smash-hit film Superman. Donner described: "I was brought up on Superman as a kid...When [Reeves] told his father, who was a professor at Princeton, that he was doing Superman, his father said, 'Man and Superman?' [George Bernard Shaw’s play]. That’s the world Chris came from. He came over, we did this test in costume...He was just wonderful as Clark Kent and as Superman. He really got the idea of a terribly pained individual living a dual life."
Audrey Hepburn (5/4/1929, Taurus Snake), Julie Andrews (10/1/1935, Libra Pig) : The two famous actors began their relationship embroiled in controversy. Andrews had starred in the Broadway production of My Fair Lady but was overlooked for the film role in favour of Hepburn (whose voice was overdubbed by Marni Nixon for the singing parts). At the 1965 Academy Awards, they became friends. Andrews later described: "[Hepburn said] Julie, you should have done it, but I didn't have the guts to turn it down. We were friends from then on. I don't think there was a soul who didn't love her...And my husband [Blake Edwards, who directed Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's] adored her too. I think I can honestly say if I hadn't come into his life, she might have."
Debra Winger (5/16/1955, Taurus Sheep), Arliss Howard (10/18/1954, Libra Horse) : The two actors have been married since 1996. They have one child together and each has a child from a previous relationship. Winger has described: "Nothing escapes change. So why do we think we could create such a permanent institution as marriage? It just seems inorganic if looked at that way. The intention is to stay awake, stay alive, keep loving, keep lit up, keep being able to light up the other one. Those are the real tricks. That and some pixie dust."
Burt Bacharach (5/12/1928, Taurus Dragon), Angie Dickinson (9/30/1931, Libra Sheep) : The two high-profile celebrities, actor and composer, were married from 1965 until 1980. They had one child together. Bacharach's 2013 autobiography, Anyone Who Had a Heart—which included lengthy passages written by Dickinson—described: "[T]o get the kind of adulation from a woman like [Angie] was really something. There was an intense physical attraction between us but I was also really in love with Angie. At the time, I think I was too insecure to believe that this gorgeous movie star could fall in love with me."

Like the elements in Western astrology, the four Trine Families that make up the zodiac can be divided into two generally compatible pairs. The families of the Monkey (with the Dragon and Rat) and Rooster (with the Ox and Snake) make up one such pair.
Among this group of six signs, there are some fabled combinations. While the pairing of Monkey and Rooster is perhaps less famous than some of the others, these two benefit strongly from this lucky surrounding atmosphere. The brilliant Monkey, who tends to become easily bored if not suitably entertained, is likely to be bewitched instantly by the Rooster's dazzling pizzazz. The Rooster, on the other hand—whose insightfulness and perseverance are sometimes masked by their on point self-presentation—will recognize quickly how gifted the Monkey is, and how successful they can be when they apply themselves. Together, these two can become a formidable collaborative team, leveraging the Monkey's genius ideas and the Rooster's determination and style.
There may be a distance between these two, at times. The Monkey's tendency towards despondency and isolation may not always sit well with the Rooster's propensity for self-involvement and arrogance. These are two highly spirited personalities, so downward spirals may seem very intense in the moment, and both signs could feel rather lonely from time to time. Contexts that allow both parties a degree of independent movement, alongside bursts of intensive shared endeavour, may prove easiest to manage in the long term.
That said, these two see the world in ways that are often deeply compatible, so the prospects for success across all kinds of relationships are potentially very promising indeed.

Jared Kushner (1/10/1981, Capricorn Monkey), Ivanka Trump (10/30/1981, Scorpio Rooster) : The couple married in 2009, and have three children. They became one of the highest profile couples in the world when they both worked as senior White House advisers during the presidency of Trump's father, President Donald Trump. Ivanka Trump described in 2015: "[Kushner's] own dreams are bold, and I love that in someone, but he’s incredibly relaxed and calm. The world could be collapsing around him, and nothing fazes him. He’s very solution oriented. Plus, it was nice finding someone who is a genuinely good person. I don’t take that for granted. I feel really lucky to have met, like, a great New Jersey boy."
George Lucas (5/14/1944, Taurus Monkey), Marcia Lucas (10/4/1945, Libra Rooster) : The director and film editor were married from 1969 to 1983. They had an adopted child together. The couple famously collaborated on the Star Wars trilogy, with Marcia Lucas winning an Academy Award for her editing work. Marcia described in 1983: "I love editing and I’m real gifted at it. I have an innate ability to take good material and make it better, or take bad material and make it fair. I’m compulsive about it. I think I’m even an editor in real life."
Venus Williams (6/17/1980, Gemini Monkey), Serena Williams (9/26/1981, Libra Rooster) : The sisters are two of the most successful professional tennis players in the history of the game. Venus Williams described in 2021: "I think we're each other's hero. I know that I'm the oldest sister so it's different, but [Serena is] in the sense that she's my younger sister and she's the only one [of my siblings] younger than me. So she's the only one that I have to like 'take care of.' So she's my, everything in that sense. And she's the best younger sister you could ever have. She's so protective. And I learned so much from her on, off the court and I couldn't have been the person that I am or won any titles really without cause I watched her."
Kim Kardashian (10/21/1980, Libra Monkey), Pete Davidson (11/16/1993, Scorpio Rooster) : The media personality and comedian formed a high-profile couple when they dated between 2021 and 2022. In 2022, Kardashian described: "It feels good just to know that, like, [Davidson and I] have this connection and we have our little bubble of a relationship world that we live in that, like, not a lot of people know about. We were driving in the car yesterday and I just, like, looked at him and I was like, 'Thank you.' And he was like, 'What?' And I was like, 'For running errands with me, like, this is so much fun just to go to a doctor’s appointment or go to the dentist and just, like, run errands. I’m having so much fun.'"
Kylie Minogue (5/28/1968, Gemini Monkey), Nick Cave (9/22/1957, Virgo Rooster) : The two Australian singers became friends after they collaborated on the song, 'Where The Wild Roses Grow' (1996), which they have continued to perform live together since. Minogue has described: "Everything I did with [Cave] was just so tender and epic and close. He’s so amazing and loving, and it’s one of my favourite things I’ve ever done. He’s definitely infiltrated my life in beautiful and profound ways."
21 Savage (10/22/1992, Libra Monkey), Metro Boomin (9/16/1993, Virgo Rooster) : The rapper and producer have established one of the most prolific and successful collaborations in contemporary hip-hop, including the EP, Savage Mode (2016), and the albums, Without Warning (2017) (with Offset), and Savage Mode II (2020). The narration for Savage Mode II, spoken by Morgan Freeman, includes this introduction: "Great men with great ideals can be separated by hundreds or even thousands of miles and still be in the same place. They can be years or even generations apart in age. And yet, somehow, find themselves on the exact same page. When these men join forces to put the focus of reaching the same goals, to attain the same outcomes, they are not two, but one. Instead of simply adding one's common attributes to another's, they somehow tend to multiply all attributes of both. Whether from [Metro Boomin's home] St. Louis or [21 Savage's home] East Atlanta, whether from a savage land or a booming metropolis, whether they are two or two billion, the greatest their numbers could ever become, is to truly become one."
Miley Cyrus (11/23/1992, Sagittarius Monkey), Ariana Grande (6/26/1993, Cancer Rooster) : The two singers share a strong friendship, and famously performed together at the One Love Manchester benefit concert in 2017. Referencing their performance, Cyrus said: "Ariana’s an open book. She has always shared her experiences with this beautiful blend of reality and the fantasy that pop culture requires. But holding her in my arms that night and feeling her shake from the loss of lives, literally feeling her heart pounding against mine – when you can let down the personas and cry with the rest of the world, it’s unifying. It’s a reminder that music can be our greatest healer."
