Bacall's memoir, By Myself (1979), recounted that Sinatra ended the relationship suddenly, after news leaked about their engagement: "[Sinatra] did not speak one word to me—if he looked in my direction, he did not see me, he looked right past me, as though my chair were empty...I would have preferred him to spit in my face, at least that would have been recognition." About the relationship generally, Bacall described: "[As I look at it now,] we used one another in some crazy way. Actually, Frank did me a great favor—he saved me from the disaster our marriage would have been. The truth is he was probably smarter than I: he knew it couldn’t work. In his memoir, The Outsider (2013), Connors alleged that their previouly unexplained break-up was due in part to Evert having an abortion. Evert responded: "In his book, Jimmy Connors has written about a time in our relationship that was very personal and emotionally painful. I am extremely disappointed that he used the book to misrepresent a private matter that took place 40 years ago and made it public, without my knowledge."

Lance Armstrong (9/18/1971, Virgo Pig), Jan Ullrich (12/2/1973, Sagittarius Ox) : The two cyclists were famous rivals, with Ulrich finishing second to Armstrong in the Tour de France in 2000, 2001, and 2003. They admitted to doping during their careers within months of each other in 2013. In 2018, Armstrong travelled to Germany to help Ulrich address personal problems. In 2020, Armstrong said: "It means the world to me, to do a bike tour with Jan Ullrich and get kicked in the ass by him on the bike. Quentin Tarantino (3/27/1963, Aries Rabbit), Spike Lee (3/20/1957, Pisces Rooster) : A feud between the two celebrated film-makers reportedly dates back to Tarantino's 1997 film, Jackie Brown, which Lee argued made gratuitous use of the N-word. Following the release of Django Unchained in 2012, Lee tweeted (using characteristic capitalization): "American Slavery Was Not A Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western. It Was A Holocaust. Les Paul (6/9/1915, Gemini Rabbit), Leo Fender (8/10/1909, Leo Rooster) : The competition between these famous inventors has been credited with inspiring the most important electric guitars in history, the Gibson Les Paul and Leo Fender's Telecaster and Stratocaster. After having an opportunity to play Fender's new sold body guitar, Les Paul reportedly told an executive at Gibson's parent company, "[I]f you don't do something, Fender will rule the world."

Maria Sharapova (4/19/1987, Aries Rabbit), Serena Williams (9/26/1981, Libra Rooster) : The intense competitiveness between these two famous former world No. 1 tennis players has been described by some as a feud. Reflecting on their on and off court relationship, Sharapova has commented, "Serena and I should be friends; we have the same passion. But we are not. I think, to some extent, we have driven each other. Maybe that’s what it takes. Only when you have that intense antagonism can you find the strength to finish her off. Who knows?"

Saul Bellow (6/10/1915, Gemini Rabbit), Philip Roth (3/19/1933, Pisces Rooster) : These famous writers shared a mutual respect, with the older and more established writer, Bellow, mentoring the younger prodigy, Roth. After Roth's last ever interview, the interviewer Asaf Galay reported that, "[Roth said] he missed arguing with [Bellow] at the table, but that Bellow was not a good friend. He said something like: 'He wouldn’t be the first guy whose companionship I’d seek out in the afterlife'."

Lauryn Hill (5/26/1975, Gemini Rabbit), Wyclef Jean (10/17/1969, Libra Rooster) : The two musicians were members of the band The Fugees and had a tumultuous affair during which both were involved with other people. In his memoir, Purpose: An Immigrant's Story, Jean describes the intense attraction between him and Hill as well as a relationship that was toxic. He writes: "You can hear the tension in the music, all of that impossible love...It was like we knew it wasn’t going to work from the start, but we couldn’t shy away...The way we related we couldn’t sustain because it was this whirlwind of creativity, this success, this performance."
