Paul McCartney (6/18/1942, Gemini Horse), John Lennon (10/9/1940, Libra Dragon) : As founding members of The Beatles, the two musicians shared a close friendship, and formed perhaps the most famous songwriting partnership in history. In one of his last interviews, months before his assassination in 1980, Lennon described: "Well, you could say that [McCartney] provided a lightness, an optimism, while I would always go for the sadness, the discords, a certain bluesy edge...Paul had a lot of training, could play a lot of instruments. In a joint interview in 2018, Perry described: "For me, just thinking back to the first time we got to share a stage together when we did [The] Other Place [on Broadway, from December 2012 to March 2013] — it was such a lucky experience for me because I know what [Metcalf's] capable of. To get to rehearse with her and experience that side of it with her was just such a treat because she's such a pro and she's also really generous and she's also immensely respectful...I mean, you can't separate your own relationship, but she kind of managed to in a very loving way and I appreciated that." Metcalf said, "I also like the fact that Zoe and I are peers now in what we do...Now I have another peer in the family that I can turn to and get advice from."

Kathleen Turner (6/19/1954, Gemini Horse), Michael Douglas (9/25/1944, Libra Monkey) : The two actors displayed legendary chemistry when they appeared together in the films, Romancing the Stone (1984), The Jewel of the Nile (1985), and The War of the Roses (1989), and later the TV series, The Kominsky Method (2018-2021). In her memoir, Send Yourself Flowers (2008), Turner recalled about making Romancing the Stone: "For a time, I was sure I was falling in love with Michael. And I think he was falling in love with me. I was certainly inspired to portray [the character] Joan’s accelerated sexual awareness by working with Michael...[But] I saw that Michael wasn’t free to pursue another relationship. We couldn’t keep the romance. But we kept our friendship. Michael always says very nice things about me...as well he should. Michael and I did some very challenging scenes together. That’s my guy. I’ve looked up to Carmelo since I was 15 years old. I wanted to be Carmelo. Quentin Tarantino (3/27/1963, Aries Rabbit), Spike Lee (3/20/1957, Pisces Rooster) : A feud between the two celebrated film-makers reportedly dates back to Tarantino's 1997 film, Jackie Brown, which Lee argued made gratuitous use of the N-word. Following the release of Django Unchained in 2012, Lee tweeted (using characteristic capitalization): "American Slavery Was Not A Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western. It Was A Holocaust. My Ancestors Are Slaves. Stolen From Africa. I Will Honor Them."

Les Paul (6/9/1915, Gemini Rabbit), Leo Fender (8/10/1909, Leo Rooster) : The competition between these famous inventors has been credited with inspiring the most important electric guitars in history, the Gibson Les Paul and Leo Fender's Telecaster and Stratocaster. After having an opportunity to play Fender's new sold body guitar, Les Paul reportedly told an executive at Gibson's parent company, "[I]f you don't do something, Fender will rule the world."

Maria Sharapova (4/19/1987, Aries Rabbit), Serena Williams (9/26/1981, Libra Rooster) : The intense competitiveness between these two famous former world No. 1 tennis players has been described by some as a feud. Reflecting on their on and off court relationship, Sharapova has commented, "Serena and I should be friends; we have the same passion. But we are not. I think, to some extent, we have driven each other. Maybe that’s what it takes. Only when you have that intense antagonism can you find the strength to finish her off. Who knows?"

Saul Bellow (6/10/1915, Gemini Rabbit), Philip Roth (3/19/1933, Pisces Rooster) : These famous writers shared a mutual respect, with the older and more established writer, Bellow, mentoring the younger prodigy, Roth. After Roth's last ever interview, the interviewer Asaf Galay reported that, "[Roth said] he missed arguing with [Bellow] at the table, but that Bellow was not a good friend. He said something like: 'He wouldn’t be the first guy whose companionship I’d seek out in the afterlife'."

Lauryn Hill (5/26/1975, Gemini Rabbit), Wyclef Jean (10/17/1969, Libra Rooster) : The two musicians were members of the band The Fugees and had a tumultuous affair during which both were involved with other people. In his memoir, Purpose: An Immigrant's Story, Jean describes the intense attraction between him and Hill as well as a relationship that was toxic. He writes: "You can hear the tension in the music, all of that impossible love...It was like we knew it wasn’t going to work from the start, but we couldn’t shy away...The way we related we couldn’t sustain because it was this whirlwind of creativity, this success, this performance."
