They famously collaborated on the 2000 Year Old Man comedy albums in the 1950s/1960s. They were known for spending their evenings together in their 90s, watching Jeopardy and eating together at Reiner's house. In 2021, Brooks recalled: "Any time I could surprise [Reiner] and really break him up, I knew it was funny. He was the greatest audience. Ahhh, I miss him so much...He would call me in the evenings and say, ‘Come over, come over! I got a big stuffed cabbage for us!’ Even at the end he was always Carl: funny, sweet-natured, warm and just the most wonderful friend a person could ever have. Angélique Kidjo (7/14/1960, Cancer Rat), Miriam Makeba (3/4/1932, Pisces Monkey) : The two singer/songwriters shared a close mentoring friendship. Kidjo described in 2022: "In 1989, I was asked to be [Makeba's] opening act in Paris. During my soundcheck, she walked onstage, and I was frozen. I was shaking from emotion. She said, 'Hello, little girl! You have a nice voice!' After that, every time she would see me, she’d say, 'You’re doing good!' It was a friendship between a daughter and a musical mother. She said, 'Never accept anyone to put you in the category of "world music." All music is in the world. Everything people listen to comes from Africa. Why are we put in the ghetto of "world music?"' She gave me a lot of advice...I want my music to carry her legacy and to sing to her every time I’m onstage."

Carly Simon (6/25/1945, Cancer Rooster), James Taylor (3/12/1948, Pisces Rat) : The two singer/songwriters were married from 1972 to 1983, and had two children. In her memoir, Boys in the Trees (2015), Simon wrote about their early intimacy: "It was the nicest contact I could ever know, could ever have asked for, or ever remember…James was my muse, my Orpheus, my ‘good night, sweet prince,’ my something-in-the-way-he-moves."

Mikhail Gorbachev (3/2/1931, Pisces Sheep), Ronald Reagan (2/6/1911, Aquarius Pig) : The 40th US President and the eighth and final leader of the Soviet Union are credited with together ending the Cold War. In a series of meetings between 1985-1988, the two leaders agreed to a significant reduction in arms and transformed the relationship between their respective countries. The Reagan Foundation now records: "The unlikely pairing of a devoted anti-Communist advocate of capitalism with a dyed-in-the-wool Marxist resulted not only in the most significant arms reduction treaty in history, but in a permanent change in U.S.-Soviet relations. Neither country, nor the world, would ever be the same again. Somehow, against all odds, 'Ron and Mikhail,' as they eventually came to call each other, had found a way to make the planet safer after all."

Mike Nichols (11/6/1931, Scorpio Sheep), Emma Thompson (4/15/1959, Aries Pig) : The actor and director/producer collaborated multiple times, including the films, The Remains of the Day (1993), Primary Colors (1998), and Wit (2001), and the TV series, Angels in America (2003). After Nichols died in 2014, Thompson described: "Working with [Nichols] was like going to an eclectic, unorthodox, and highly original university. We would all get to wander about in the corridors and high ceilings of his mind—for free, mind you—each making different discoveries according to our tastes and aptitudes. Maria Shriver (11/6/1955, Scorpio Sheep), Arnold Schwarzenegger (7/30/1947, Leo Pig) : The actor/politician and and journalist/author were married from 1986 to 2021 and have four children. They separated when, after completing his term as Governor of California, Schwarzenegger revealed to his family that 14 years earlier he had fathered a child with their longtime maid. Schwarzenegger has since described: "I can beat myself up as much as I want — it's not gonna change the situation. So the key thing is, how do you move forward? How do you have a great relationship with your kids? You can't go back — if I could, in reality, be Terminator, of course I would go back in time and would say, 'Arnold … no.' Keegan-Michael Key (3/22/1971, Aries Pig), Jordan Peele (2/21/1979, Pisces Sheep) : The comedian/filmmaker and actor/comedian are close friends, who appeared together in the sketch comedy show, Key & Peele (2012-2015). They also collaborated on the films, Keanu (2016), and Wendell & Wild (2022). In a joint interview, Key described about their friendship: "[Peele] makes my heart giggle...There’s an ineffable quality, and sometimes it’s timing and luck that people just come across each other at a particular time in their lives. They come from similar places and they bring beautifully different perspectives." Peele said, "We’re each other’s funniest person...Whenever we get together, whether it’s been a day or a few months, it’s like there we are … We have a competition to make each other laugh and it’s just the same infectious thing that doesn’t really exist with anyone else. John Krasinski (10/20/1979, Libra Sheep), Emily Blunt (2/23/1983, Pisces Pig) : The two actors have been married since 2010, and have two children. They co-starred in the film, A Quiet Place (2018), which Krasinski also directed. Blunt described in 2013: "Meeting John really changed my life. When I feel the support that I have from him, I feel invincible. There’s someone behind you on your good days and someone in front of you on your bad days."

Laura Dern (2/10/1967, Aquarius Sheep), Diane Ladd (11/29/1935, Sagittarius Pig) : The two actors are mother and daughter. They have co-starred in multiple films, including Wild at Heart (1990), Rambling Rose (1991), Citizen Ruth (1996), and Inland Empire (2006), as well as the HBO TV series, Enlightened (2011-2013). In 2023, they are set to publish their first co-written book, Honey, Baby, Mine: A Mother and Daughter Talk Life, Death, and Love (and Banana Pudding). Dern described: "When my mother received a terrifying health diagnosis, we started taking walks. Keith Richards (12/18/1943, Sagittarius Sheep), Ron Wood (6/1/1947, Gemini Pig) : The two musicians have collaborated as the two guitarists in The Rolling Stones, since Wood joined the band in 1975. In the documentary film, Shine a Light, Wood was asked what was Richards' best point, and he answered: "Well, he's very moral and he's very caring, unlike his image." Richards described about their playing: "I know the truth, which is like, we're both pretty lousy, but together we're better than 10 others."
