The final sign in the Western zodiac is the metaphorical octogenarian, the dreamer Pisces. This is traditionally a time of contemplation, as the psyche prepares to let go of corporeal existence. Pisces have a special appreciation for creativity, beauty, and individual experience, set against the vastness of time and space. Simple shared occasions can, for these generous and empathic souls, convey universal significance as cherished moments of intimacy and belonging. Admittedly, the often extreme sensitivity of Pisces does involve some challenges. The variable element of Water is at its most inconstant in the Mutable modality of this sign. Pisces can be unreliable if tasked with work they consider a waste of their aesthetic ideals. They are easily overawed by crowds or complex emotional cross-currents, and can be dangerously prone to escapism or isolation. However, if Pisces and those close to them are able to navigate this sign's sensitivity and changeability, then their innate wisdom and perspective promises much happiness and aesthetic achievement.

Perhaps less obvious, but with plenty of potential, are the signs Pisces shares a minor aspect with—the semi-Sextile connections of Aries and Aquarius, and the Quincunx connections of Leo and Libra—and of course, kindred natives of Pisces. Finally, there are the Square matches of Gemini and Sagittarius, which can be more challenging but equally rewarding.
