The Pig

The final animal of the Eastern zodiac is the generous, compassionate Pig. These caring souls are among the most benevolent under the stars. They make trustworthy friends, and will not hesitate to share all they have with their loved ones, as well as with the world at large. It is true that Pig year natives sometimes appear naive. Their faith in others can leave them vulnerable to manipulation or abuse, which may cause them to surrender temporarily to self-sabotage, laziness or anger. But rest assured, this sign is unlikely to brood for long! For one thing, these folk are extraordinarily capable under pressure, the very best of allies in any time of need. What's more, when they find a true calling, they are capable of tireless work, exemplary commitment, and show-stopping feats of skill. Last but not least, perhaps due to their selfless kindness and pure motives, in the long run people born in the year of the Pig are apt to attract the abundant good fortune they so richly deserve.

In the middle ground, with plenty of potential but some reticence, are signs from the Trine Families that the Pig does not share a direct connection with. These include the Dragon and Rat, and the Ox and Rooster. The Chinese zodiac makes some harsh judgements about unfavorable energy connections.
