John Coltrane (9/23/1926, Libra Tiger), Thelonious Monk (10/10/1917, Libra Snake) : The two legends of jazz music shared a supportive and collaborative friendship. Their work together included the album, Thelonious Monk with John Coltrane (1961), and the live recording, Thelonious Monk Quartet with John Coltrane at Carnegie Hall (recorded 1957, released 2005). Coltrane explained in 1960: "Working with Monk brought me close to a musical architect of the highest order. I felt I learned from him in every way—through the senses, theoretically, technically. I would talk to Monk about musical problems and he would sit at the piano and show me the answers just by playing them...[Monk] also got me into the habit of playing long solos on his pieces, playing the same piece for a long time to find new conceptions of solos. They became one of the highest profile couples in the world when they both worked as senior White House advisers during the presidency of Trump's father, President Donald Trump. 21 Savage (10/22/1992, Libra Monkey), Metro Boomin (9/16/1993, Virgo Rooster) : The rapper and producer have established one of the most prolific and successful collaborations in contemporary hip-hop, including the EP, Savage Mode (2016), and the albums, Without Warning (2017) (with Offset), and Savage Mode II (2020).
