The families of the Dragon (with the Monkey and Rat) and Ox (with Rooster and Snake) combine to form one of these highly congenial inter-family groups. While the Ox and Dragon may not receive quite as much attention as some other combinations between their families, they benefit considerably from the wonderful energy that surrounds them.

Early encounters between the Ox and Dragon will tend to be relaxed affairs, with both parties slipping easily into a comfortable groove. About their meeting, Brody said, "It was a miracle...The first time I saw her I was completely spellbound. I told Elsa later that I was so uncomfortable because she was so beautiful and so lovely and sweet. I became very self-conscious."

Dana Reeve (3/17/1961, Pisces Ox), Christopher Reeve (9/25/1952, Libra Dragon) : The couple—both actors and activists—were married in 1992. After Christopher Reeve was paralyzed in an accident in 1995, they founded the Reeve Foundation to treat and cure spinal cord injury. In 2011, they published a book together, Ode to Happiness, containing Grant's drawings and Reeves' poetic text. Gore Vidal (10/3/1925, Libra Ox), Howard Austen (1/28/1929, Aquarius Dragon) : The writer and advertiser/stage manager were partners from 1950 until Austen's death in 2003. Burr Steers, Vidal's nephew, described: "They were as close as any married couple. It was a really tight relationship. They were connected in a fundamental way. Howard took the piss out of him.
