Former NY City Mayor, Bill de Blasio (05/08/1961, Taurus Ox), and his wife of almost 30 years, Chirlane McCray (11/29/1954, Sagittarius Horse), are to separate. According to reports, the couple, who married in 1994 and have two adult children, will continue to share a townhouse in Brooklyn while they date other people.

The energy between de Blasio and McCray includes the oftentimes delightfully mysterious Quincunx influence on the Western side. However, the Chinese combination of Ox and Horse is one of the most notorious for potential disturbances.

Prior to her relationship with de Blasio, McCray had come out publicly as lesbian. Discussing the recent separation, de Blasio told the New York Times, "[F]or the guy who took the chance on a woman who was an out lesbian and wrote an article called 'I Am a Lesbian, there was a part of me that would at times say, 'Hmmm, is this like a time bomb ticking? Is this something that you're going to regret later on?' So I always lived with that stuff."
