She later described: "I said, ‘Well, hmmm, maybe I’ll try it.’ The truth is that [my publisher] had talked to James Baldwin, my brother friend, and Jimmy told him that ‘if you want Maya Angelou to do something, tell her she can’t do it.’" After the memoir's publication, Baldwin said: "This testimony from a Black sister marks the beginning of a new era in the minds and hearts and lives of all Black men and women."

Short has described: "You know, you make movies and you’re in each other’s lives for a few months, in Yugoslavia or wherever, and then you never see each other again. John Stockton (3/26/1962, Aries Tiger), Karl Malone (7/24/1963, Leo Rabbit) : The two basketball stars formed one of the most successful duos in NBA history, sharing an 18-year playoff streak with the Utah Jazz and achieving a combined 24 All-Star appearances. Stockton described in 2022: "I felt there was something magical. [Malone] read my mind. He caught everything. He finished everything. He had all my work ethic and then some. He loved the game. Just one thing after another. Radcliffe described: "Oh, God. We used to argue about everything. Religion. Politics. I remember one of the big arguments we had on the fourth film – [Watson and I] didn’t speak to each other for a couple of days – was about… She was arguing about the Latin language, that nobody knows what it sounds like, what a Latin accent should be.
